American expands its Miami Admirals and Flagship Lounges
Fort Worth-based airline American Airlines has recently announced that it will be redoing its Flagship Lounge and its Admirals Club. The airline recently added a flagship and redid an admirals club at the transatlantic hub, Philadelphia International Airport, and it was completed on May 20th of this year. Improvements and feedback have seemed to be nothing but success. Following these results, American has decided it needs to redo its lounges at its transatlantic and South/Central America hub, Miami International Airport. I personally took a stop at the Admirals Lounge at Miami (the one being expanded) in mid-April, and what I noticed was that it was in need of improvement and expansion. You had to wait for chairs, food options were limited, etc. This seems to be a consistent problem in some Admirals Clubs. I was additionally in the Flagship Lounge in Miami this past winter, where the lounge was again fairly packed. With this expansion, there shouldn't be problems, and the airline's recent commitment to improving customer experience will again be further shown. With Miami serving a lot of key routes for American, I think this improvement is a huge improvement and will allow American to continue to have a strong premium customer experience out of its hub in Miami. Passengers on American's Flagship First and Flagship Business have access to the Flagship Lounge. Some Flagship seats can cost over fifteen thousand dollars one way from Miami. Making it very important for them to get the best experience.
