American Airlines To Reinstall In-Flight-Entertainment Screens On Narrowbody Jets

American Airlines will be retrofitting much of its fleet. They’ve announced “More storage, redesigned seats, and enhanced lighting will have customers flying in comfort and style.” This is driven by the company’s customer experience push this past year. The company removed the screens in 2014 to cut costs, but now has made it a priority with 2028 starting retrofits. The strong-spoken CCO Nat Pieper "Whether it's onboard food, seats, lounges, Wi-Fi ... those are the kinds of investments that make sense and really, kind of, put a halo around where American is trying to go," American is supplementing this with more premium seats on its A321 and 737 Max 10 aircraft; this includes main cabin extra and domestic first-class seats. The airline is really pushing a premium image.
